We are excited to officially announce the Catalya Playtest.
This playtest will be public and open to everyone.
This playtest will already include a first set of content, including:
1 full dungeon,
1 boss with its own boss arena,
a planned end event 3 days after server launch where the Big Dragon will be fought,
custom world generation,
custom structures, which are currently still temporary,
custom weapons,
and a custom texture pack.
The playtest will begin on 25.04.2026 at 16:00 and is initially planned to last for 1 week, although an extension of the test phase may be possible.
The main purpose of this playtest is to test server stability, optimize systems, and further test our internal infrastructure.
Please note that while bug fixes will happen during the test period, they may not always be implemented immediately. Some issues will first be analyzed more deeply in order to identify possible backend and API-related problems early, and to prevent fixes from negatively affecting other areas of the project.
Due to internal reasons, there will be no US or other proxy locations available during this playtest for improved ping. However, this is planned for release and will be included after further testing in advance.
Please also note the following regarding bans:
Any bans issued during this test period for cheating or similar misconduct may, depending on the punishment, only become active at release. Temporary bans will only begin counting down once the full release begins. Before that, they will not automatically expire. However, players are still allowed to submit an unban appeal.
